# SkipTheCAD

> SkipTheCAD is a free, individually checked directory of 550 3D print generators in 15 categories. Each generator turns a form, a photo or a line of text into a printable STL or 3MF file, so you never model anything in CAD. 430 of them are free.

Every tool page lists the price, where the tool runs, the file formats it exports, whether a download needs an account, pros, cons and the date the listing was last checked (most recent check: 10 October 2026). Some links to printers, filament and paid tools are affiliate links; they do not decide what is listed.
