A few clearly marked spots for generators that want more makers to find them. Your normal listing stays free, and paying never changes what we write about your tool.

Who visits SkipTheCAD

People come here with a print in mind and no CAD skills: a Gridfinity bin, a name sign, a lithophane for a gift. They are looking for the tool that makes it, and many click straight through to one.

Since 3 October, as of 13 October 2026: about 220 visits a day, bots and our own visits left out. The homepage had 1,600 views. Visitors come mostly from the US (about a third), France, Germany, the UK and the Netherlands, and arrive through Google, Reddit, ChatGPT and other AI assistants, and 3D printing forums. SkipTheCAD is new, so these numbers are small, and we would rather show them honestly than round them up.

Month to month, no contract. Each month you get a short report with the views and clicks your spot received, so you can decide whether it is worth keeping.

The rules

  • Every sponsored spot carries a visible "Sponsored" label, and its link has rel="sponsored".
  • Your listing, pros and cons, check notes and place in guides stay exactly as they are. A sponsor gets no better review and no say over what we write.
  • We only sponsor tools we would list anyway: a working generator that makes a printable file without CAD. We can say no.
  • Tools that are not sponsored keep their free listing, always.

How it works

  1. Email hello@skipthecad.com with your tool and the spot you would like.
  2. We reply with the first available month and how to pay.
  3. Your spot goes live on the first day you paid for, and the click report follows each month.

Questions

Is my tool already listed?

Probably. Search the full list. If it is not, send it in; listing is free and does not depend on sponsoring.

Can I sponsor a guide?

No. Guides compare tools on their merits, and a paid place in a "best" list would make them worthless. Sponsored spots live on category pages and the homepage only.

Do you have an affiliate program instead?

If your tool has one, tell us. Affiliate links are handled separately and explained on our affiliate disclosure page.
