About this generator

Custom QR Code Luggage / Bag Tag is a free MakerWorld customizer by vlycser that builds a flat luggage tag with a scannable QR code and a few lines of contact text. If a suitcase goes missing, whoever finds it can scan the code and reach you. It runs on OpenSCAD in MakerWorld's Parametric Model Maker and has been customized more than 75,000 times, with close to 10,000 likes.

You decide what the code does: show a text, open a website, start a WhatsApp or Telegram chat, write an email, send an SMS or call a number. The tag comes in Small, Medium, Large or a QR-only version, and you can switch on up to nine text lines plus an emoji-only line. Font, font style, the color of tag, text and code, the thickness of each layer and the position of text and QR are all adjustable. You can also upload a small SVG graphic, and an experimental section covers QR error correction, the mask pattern and scaling.

The designer's own print profile uses two filaments and about 14 g, with an estimate of under 40 minutes on an A1. It suits travellers who want a readable, easy to reprint ID on a suitcase, backpack or gym bag.
