About this generator

The NFC Tag Generator makes a printed holder for a standard round NFC sticker, so a tap with a phone opens a profile, menu, Wi-Fi login, contact card or review page. You pick a keychain, stick-on disc or tile, a bank-card-size card or a table stand, start from a purpose such as Follow us, Review us or Menu, and then change the icon, two lines of text and font. You can upload your own logo or put a QR code on the front for people without NFC.

The sticker is either embedded, where you pause the print at the height shown and drop it in, or glued into a pocket on the back afterwards. You choose the sticker size (25, 29 or 35 mm), pocket depth, design height, a border frame and your layer height, and the stats line up the pause and color-change heights with your layers. Downloads are one STL or a two-color ZIP for AMS or MMU printers. The page explains which stickers to buy (NTAG213, 215 or 216) and what to write to them with a phone app.

It is free, needs no account, and uploaded logos stay on your device. The maker states that files made with 3D MakerBench may be printed and sold. It suits makers, cafes and small shops that want tap-to-follow tags or review stands.
