Custom Coins / Tokens Generator is a free customizable MakerWorld model by dambusm that turns a word, number or symbol into a small coin with a raised rim and raised lettering. It runs in MakerWorld's Parametric Model Maker, so you fill in a web form and never touch the OpenSCAD file behind it.

You type your text, pick a font and a coin shape, and decide whether the coin gets text on one face or on both. Letters, numbers and signs like $ work, and one user made a gem token with the Noto Emoji font. The designer has fixed problems people reported: reversed text on the back was fixed in June 2025, a 'Border On' setting for a flat bottom arrived in January 2026, and text sizing was reworked in February 2026 after single digits on the back ran past the edge. Double-sided coins may print better standing on edge, because the underside has to bridge. The designer's profile uses 0.08 mm layers and about 2 g of PLA.

With about 1,300 likes and more than 27,000 customizations, it suits parents making play money for a toy till, teachers who want name tokens and board gamers who need extra coins. It makes one coin per download, so you copy it in the slicer for a batch.

How to use Custom Coins / Tokens Generator

1. Log in to MakerWorld in a computer or tablet browser, open the model and click Customize (on Safari, allow pop-ups first)
2. Type your text and pick a font
3. Choose a coin shape and whether it has text on one side or both
4. Click Generate, then Download to save the 3MF or STL
5. Duplicate the coin in your slicer as many times as you need and print
