What is End Plug Generator (WardCons)?
End Plug Generator is a free MakerWorld customizer by WardCons that makes push-in plugs for the open end of a pipe or tube, such as a chair leg, a table frame or a length of square steel tubing. It runs from OpenSCAD files in MakerWorld's parametric customizer and has been customized more than 20,000 times since February 2025.
You pick a round, oval, square or rectangular plug, then type in the outside size of the tube (one number, or two for oval and rectangular tubes) and its wall thickness. The generator uses those figures to work out the part that slides inside and the head that sits on the end. After that you set the plug length, its wall and end thickness, and can add smooth or sharp ribs, slots that make it easier to push in, and a slight outward taper for a tighter hold. A thicker end is handy for chair tips; for an angled base the creator points to a separate Chair Tip Generator.
It is free with a MakerWorld login and shared under a CC BY-SA license. It suits anyone repairing furniture, shelving racks or DIY frames who has calipers at hand. The same creator also offers an End Cap Generator for caps that fit over the outside of a tube.

How to use End Plug Generator
- Measure the tube's outside size and wall thickness with calipers
- Open the model on MakerWorld, click Customize and pick the plug shape
- Enter the A (and B) size and wall thickness, then set length, end thickness, ribs, slots and taper
- Generate, download the 3MF and print; use clone or fill plate in Bambu Studio for a set
