About this generator

Customizable Dice is a free OpenSCAD model by Lerch on MakerWorld that opens in the Parametric Model Maker, so you build a die by filling in a form instead of modeling it. You pick a d4, d6, d8, d10, d12 or d20, set its diameter and corner rounding, and choose whether the numbers are debossed, flush with the surface or framed by a cutout. The d10 can switch to 0-9 numbering or to tens, which gives you a percentile die.

Default font, text size and depth apply to every side, and any single face can override them with its own text, font, uploaded SVG, scale, offset or rotation. Emoji work through the Noto Emoji font and symbols through the Noto Sans Symbols fonts. Extra options add a dot after 6 and 9 and a numerically balanced d20 layout. The page holds two scripts, and the newer dice V2-2 script can number the d4 at its points, which several makers found easier to read than the face-numbered d4 of the original. Die and graphic colors are set separately, so the numbers can print in a second color.

With about 4,200 likes and more than 25,000 customizations, it suits tabletop and RPG players who want a themed set, a character die with a logo or a one-off gift die for game night.

How to use Customizable Dice - D20, D12, D10, D8, D6, D4

1. Sign in to MakerWorld, open the model and click Customize
2. Pick a script (dice V2-2 has the newer d4), then the die type, graphic style, diameter and rounding
3. Set a default font and size, then change the text, font or SVG on any side you like
4. Choose die and graphic colors, generate and download the 3MF
5. Slice and print, adding supports as the example profiles do
