About this generator

Lithophane Round Fan is a partner app in MakerWorld's MakerLab that makes a round hand fan whose face works as a lithophane. You select a built-in image or upload your own, the generator reads the brightness of the picture and turns it into relief of different heights, and the fan shows the image when light shines through it.

The app is free to open with a MakerWorld account and sells a one-time Pro Features unlock. The MakerLab listing gives the price ($9.99, discounted to $8.88 until early November 2026) but does not say which features the unlock covers, so check inside the app what the free version exports before you design.

It is a separate app from the Lithophane Folding Fan in MakerLab: that one makes a folding fan with blades and pins, this one a single round fan. It suits a photo gift or a decorative piece for a window. Like any lithophane, it needs a white filament that lets light through, and the app only opens after you sign in.
