About this generator

3D QR-Code Generator is a free browser tool that turns a web link or any text into a printable QR code, made by developer Pedram Ramezani. You type into a single field and the 3D preview rebuilds as you go, with the finished size shown in millimeters. Everything runs on the page, and the model downloads as one STL file in binary or ASCII.

Its main idea is getting rid of loose parts. By default the code is inverted, so the printed blocks are the light squares, which would normally leave lots of tiny islands. The tool ties them together with thin lines that run vertically, horizontally or both, and you set their thickness, height and spacing, or link only the nearest islands instead. The aim is a single see-through lattice that comes off the bed in one piece. You can also add a frame up to five squares wide, or put the code on a solid base, which switches the lines off.

The author posted it on his personal site in December 2023. It suits makers who want a quick one-color QR tile or a see-through code without signing up anywhere. There is no WiFi helper, label text or icon, so a finished sign needs a fuller QR tool.
