What is PipeFitter?
PipeFitter is a free browser tool that designs a connector between two round tubes, such as a workshop vacuum hose and a pipe that is a little bigger or smaller. You build the part as a chain of straight sections joined by bends. Each section gets its own inner diameter (1 to 120 mm), outer diameter and length, and each bend can turn anywhere from -180 to 180 degrees, so reducers, elbows, S-shapes and U-turns are all possible.
The two open ends can stay plain or get a chamfer, a bolt flange with holes, a hose barb, grip teeth for wire-lined hoses, or a slip joint that plugs into or over a mating pipe with an adjustable tolerance. A design can hold up to four separate pipes joined end to end, handy when a run is too long for the bed or needs to come apart. A 3D view and a cross-section drawing update as you edit, and every setting is kept in the URL, so a link brings back the exact design.
Downloads are STL or 3MF, either as is or stood on one end face. There is no account, and the code is on GitHub under the MIT license. It suits makers who need an odd-sized adapter today and would rather not open CAD for it.
What you can make
- Hose and pipe reducers
- Elbows, S-bends and U-turns
- Hose barb adapters
- Flanged pipe connectors
- Slip-joint couplers
- Multi-part pipe runs
How to use PipeFitter
- Open PipeFitter and pick mm or inches
- Set the inner diameter, outer diameter and length of each section, adding sections and bends as needed
- Choose an end treatment for each open end, such as a hose barb, flange or slip joint
- Check the 3D view and the cross section for fit
- Download an STL or 3MF oriented on one end face and slice it

PipeFitter pros
- Six end styles, including hose barbs, grip teeth, bolt flanges and slip joints with a tolerance setting
- The whole design lives in the URL, so it can be bookmarked or shared as a link
- Exports STL or 3MF already stood on an end face, with no sign-up and MIT-licensed source
PipeFitter cons
- Round tubes only, all bends in one plane: no square ducts and no Y or T splitters
- No threaded ends, and linked options such as mated ends and shared values take a read of the help page
- A new side project with almost no community track record as of September 2026
