What is Connector Generator by Koolm?
Connector Generator by Koolm is a free MakerWorld customizer that makes multi-arm connectors for tubes, rods and pipes. You enter the size of the stock you have, and it builds a hub with sockets that the stock slides into, ready to print. It comes from the same author as the gear, screw and spring generators and has been customized about 19,000 times.
You pick two to six arms in a round, square or octagonal shape, then set the inside size, wall thickness and socket length in millimeters. Clearance is added per side, so small changes tune the fit. The hole can have a different shape from the arm, including a hexagonal option, and per-arm tilt angles take you past plain right angles. Optional webs between the arms add strength. Version 1.2 added a hub stop that limits how far a tube slides in, and a separate Pin mode makes a matching solid plug.
It needs a MakerWorld account, and the Standard Digital File License rules out selling prints. There are no built-in screw holes or rectangular sockets, which commenters have asked for. People in the comments have used it for greenhouse shelves, a seedling cold box, a filament rack and a spray booth frame.
