What is TanskyLab?

TanskyLab turns one photo into a 3D printed jigsaw puzzle. You upload and crop the photo, pick your filament colors and a size from a 100 mm Mini to a 250 mm Ultra (or exact millimeters), and set the number of pieces. The colors are height bands: dark parts of the photo stay low and bright parts rise, so each color prints in its own range of layers and works with or without an AMS.

Options include five piece styles (Jigsaw, Classic, Bold, Round and Curl), a gift box with the photo in relief on the lid, a display frame with a 30 degree stand, magnet pockets in the back of each piece, a gap setting with a test print, and up to 12 filaments. Puzzles bigger than your build plate, up to 1.2 m wide, are split along the piece lines across several plates with an assembly map. AI photo enhancement offers six looks for photos that print poorly.

The download is a 3MF project with the colors and layer changes already set, for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or Creality Print. The puzzle generator needs a free account, which gives 2 generations a month in Mini and Small sizes with the Jigsaw style. Premium is $59 a year for every size and option, and Commercial is $159 a year with the right to sell prints and files. The site also has a photo box, a multi-color photo wall panel and a soundwave plaque, which is free and opens without an account.
