About Threaded Lid Generator
Lost the cap of a bottle or jar? Shop Therapy's Threaded Lid Generator on MakerWorld makes a new one from your own measurements, with no Fusion or other CAD needed. It has been customized more than 14,000 times.
You measure four things on the container neck with calipers: the major diameter including the threads, the minor diameter without them, the thread pitch, and the lid height down to the ring below the threads. Enter those in the customizer, add clearance if needed and generate a cap. The author notes most caps print fine at 0.2 mm layers, while 0.16 or 0.12 mm gives cleaner threads, and a video explains each parameter.
If the first cap is tight or loose, adjust the numbers and print again. It is free with a MakerWorld account and useful for kitchen jars, paint bottles, storage containers and similar household fixes.
