Ultimate Sample Box (Filament Swatch Box)

Ultimate Sample Box is a free MakerWorld customizer by GlennovitS 3D that builds a lidded box around your filament swatch cards. You enter the card size (the default is 75 x 35 x 2 mm, which fits the designer's own Favorite Filament Sample cards) and how many cards it should hold, and the box is sized to match.

Click Customize and the OpenSCAD file opens in MakerWorld's Parametric Model Maker. You choose whether to generate the box, the lid, both, or spacers that split the cards into groups by brand or material. At 0 degrees the cards stand upright between separators; tilt them anywhere up to 45 degrees and the separators are left out, so you can flip through them like an index box. You can add two lines of text with your own font and size, cut a window of any width in the lid to show the colors, and adjust grip, locking and tolerances.

It suits anyone whose swatch pile has outgrown a drawer. It has been customized more than 17,800 times. If you would rather skip the customizer, the page also has ready STLs for 10 to 40 cards and for Bambu Lab's own swatch size.

How to use Ultimate Sample Box

1. Open the model on MakerWorld, log in and click Customize
2. Enter your swatch card size and how many cards the box should hold
3. Pick the angle, add your text and set the lid window
4. Choose box, lid or both, then generate and download
5. Print with 2 to 3 walls and fill it with your swatches
