What is Customizable Foldable Box?
Customizable Foldable Box is a free MakerWorld generator by A.L_arc.studio that turns three measurements into a box you print flat and then fold by hand. The designer cites Robert Gair's folding cartons from 1890 as the starting point. The part prints as one thin sheet with grooves along the fold lines and needs no supports. The side that touched the plate ends up on the outside, so a textured plate gives every face the same finish.
Once you are logged in to MakerWorld, you click Customize on the model page or in the Bambu Handy app (Bambu Studio cannot run it), type side a, side b and box height in millimeters, click Generate and download a 3MF. Two ready-made print profiles come with it: a two-layer version listed at about 7 g and 20 minutes, and a sturdier three-layer one at about 9 g and 24 minutes.
It has been customized more than 81,000 times and liked over 12,700 times. The designer writes in Italian, and MakerWorld shows an automatic English translation. A 0.4 mm nozzle and PLA or silk PLA are recommended, not PETG. It suits anyone who wants quick, cheap gift boxes or small organizer boxes in an exact size.
