What is DiceThing?

DiceThing is a free, open-source web tool for designing custom dice to print. You choose a shape, set the legends and export a file that is ready for your slicer.

The shape list is long: the classic seven (d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20 and the percentile d10), crystals, rhombic dice, shards and barrels, odd sizes such as d2, d3, d5 and d7, high counts such as d24, d30 and d60, and skewed shapes that stay fair. Designs export as 3MF, with blanks and platforms made for you, and you can save a design as JSON to share it. Downloads come as a single file or a ZIP.

It suits tabletop players who want an unusual die or a matching set. For sharp edges, resin printers do best, but FDM prints work for chunky dice.

What you can make

  • Polyhedral dice sets

  • Odd and high-count dice such as d7 and d60
