About this generator

Fractions Made Fun (Customizable) is a free MakerWorld model by iw3d that pairs ready-made fraction circle sets with two browser customizers. Fraction circles are the classroom manipulative where students fit slices together to make a whole. The page has print profiles for sets from 1/1 to 1/12, and two OpenSCAD files run in MakerWorld's Customize tool. The fraction generator makes a piece for any fraction you need and exports it as two STLs, the slice and its number, so the number can be printed in a second color. The container generator builds a holder with an optional lid, sized for how many stacked sets you want to store and the smallest fraction it has to hold.

The designer answers comments and keeps adding what teachers ask for: the 1/11 and 1/12 sets, display holders for up to 15 sets, and in September 2026 a text depth setting for makers who found the deep numbers cost too many color changes. You still have to join the two STLs as one object in Bambu Studio yourself, and the full-color profiles assume an AMS, though a no-AMS profile with engraved numbers is included.

It is free with a MakerWorld login and has more than 2,500 likes. The license does not allow selling prints. It suits teachers, tutors and homeschooling parents.

How to use Fractions Made Fun

1. Open the model on MakerWorld, sign in and click Customize
2. Choose the fraction generator or the container generator
3. Set the fraction and text depth, or the number of sets and smallest fraction for a container
4. Generate and download the STL files
5. In Bambu Studio, load the piece and number as one object, give them two colors and print
