What is Bracket Generator by Koolm?
Bracket Generator by Koolm is a free MakerWorld customizer that puts a form on top of an OpenSCAD script, so you can make a mounting bracket to exact measurements without drawing anything. Koolm also made the gear, screw and spring generators on MakerWorld.
First pick a type. Angle brackets put two arms in different planes and can get built-in reinforcing webs. Flat brackets keep both arms in one plane, T-brackets join three arms and spread into a Y shape as you raise the angle, and the straight type makes a single perforated strip or plate. Then set thickness, width, length, edge rounding and joint fillets, and lay out a hole grid for ISO or UTS screws with countersinks, counterbores or modeled threads. An FDM switch turns angle brackets into a print-friendly position and gives sideways holes a teardrop shape, and a mirror switch makes left and right pairs.
It is free with a MakerWorld account, has been customized about 16,000 times and was last updated in July 2026. A two-page FAQ explains which settings apply to which type. Printed brackets carry no load rating, so test one under the real load before you rely on it.

Bracket Generator by Koolm pros
- Four types cover angle, corner, flat, T, Y and straight brackets
- Hole grids for ISO or UTS screws, with matching head recesses, countersinks, counterbores and optional threads
- FDM option turns angle brackets for printing and switches sideways holes to teardrops
Bracket Generator by Koolm cons
- Both arms share one length setting, so uneven L-brackets are not possible; two commenters have asked for it
- No slotted screw holes, and some settings only affect certain bracket types
- Needs a MakerWorld account, and selling prints requires Koolm's paid membership
