What is MoonToPrint?

MoonToPrint makes printable terrain tiles of the Moon. You click a spot on a 2D Moon map or a 3D globe, and it cuts out a square tile from NASA's LRO LOLA elevation model (about 118 m per pixel), with a 3D preview before you download. Unlike the other Moon tools listed here, it is built around wall sets: a tile can be one piece or part of a horizontal, vertical, plus, 2x2, 3x3, round or quarter pattern.

You choose a small 120 mm or large 200 mm tile and how many degrees of the Moon it covers. Assembly options add a keyhole wall mount and a frame (none, standard or an LED frame). Advanced settings set true scale or a vertical exaggeration, the base thickness, surface smoothing and an engraved badge. The download is an STL, offered through a temporary link.

The site is a free open beta, supported by Ko-fi donations, with no account. Its terms (German, with an English translation) allow private, non-commercial use only: you may not pass the STL files on, upload or sell them, or use the files or prints commercially without the operator's prior consent. It suits space fans who want a Moon tile or a framed set for their own wall.
