What is Parametric Playing Card Box?
Parametric Playing Card Box is a free MakerWorld customizer by Molodos that builds a clip-shut case sized to whatever card deck you own. The box prints as a top half and a bottom half that clip together, with a thick frame around the cards and a window that shows which game is inside.
You press Customize on the model page, type the card width, card depth and stack height, and set a padding value that decides how much room the cards get (the designer's own files use 1.5 mm). MakerWorld then builds the box for download. If you would rather skip the form, the designer's ready-made files cover Uno, Skip-Bo, Exploding Kittens and Taco Katze Ziege Käse Pizza, and 35 print profiles from other makers add sizes for poker decks, Phase 10, Monopoly Deal, Pokemon cards, Skyjo and more.
Since June 2024 it has been customized about 14,800 times and printed more than 10,000 times. MakerWorld estimates about 50 g of filament and two and a half hours for the Uno profile, printed with tree supports. It suits board game players who want a matching case for every deck on the shelf.

Parametric Playing Card Box pros
- Sized from just card width, card depth, stack height and a padding value
- Ready-made files plus 35 community profiles for games from Uno to Pokemon
- Clip-together halves and a window that shows which deck is inside
Parametric Playing Card Box cons
- Needs tree supports, and the Uno profile takes about two and a half hours
- The clip is stiff on purpose, so the box bends to open; one maker broke PLA boxes and switched to PETG, another says kids find it hard to open
- Presets may not match your edition; one reviewer's US Uno cards did not fit the Uno preset, so measure your deck first
