Parametric Removable Headrest Hook is a free MakerWorld customizer that makes a hook which clips around one of the metal posts under a car headrest, so you can hang a bag or a pack behind the seat. The designer is Runout (@RangaTang7), the hook comes off again in seconds, and the Customize button has been used more than 5,000 times since the model went up in January 2026.

You set three numbers: the post diameter, the hook length (50 to 200 mm) and the height of the hook tip (5 to 200 mm). The designer says to enter the post size as measured, because the model adds the clearance itself. The defaults are a 12.7 mm post, a 60 mm hook and a 20 mm tip. The post field only covers 12.7 to 14.1 mm, so for 10 mm posts you use the ready-made 10 mm STL that comes with the model, and larger posts are not covered at all.

The designer recommends ASA because car interiors get hot, and there are community profiles for PETG and PLA as well. On those three profiles one hook takes under an hour and 20 to 24 g of filament. It suits drivers who want a sturdy hook that fits their own car without opening CAD.

How to use Parametric Removable Headrest Hook

1. Measure the diameter of your headrest post with calipers
2. Open the model on MakerWorld and click Customize
3. Enter the post diameter as measured, then set the hook length and hook height
4. Generate and download the hook, then slice it with a brim or supports under the hook arch
5. Print in ASA or PETG if the car gets hot, then clip the hook onto the post
