What is Wall Plug Generator (EBdesign)?

Wall Plug Generator is a free MakerWorld customizer by EBdesign that makes plastic wall plugs, the anchors that go into a drilled hole so a screw can grip. Published in February 2026 and customized more than 12,800 times, it runs on the designer's Fusion files, so you only see a few settings. You set the outer diameter to match your drill bit, from 4 to 18 mm, and the length from 25 to 100 mm, both in 1 mm steps.

There are two versions. The plain plug has just those two settings. The other adds a collar that sits against the wall, with settings for how much wider it is than the plug (1 to 6 mm) and how thick it is (1 to 4 mm). The listing also has a ready-made set that prints in about 8 g of PLA without supports.

It suits quick home fixes when you need an odd size. Strength reports are mixed: several reviewers say PLA or PLA+ plugs hold well, while one had PLA plugs crumble during fitting and another recommends nylon. One commenter says they work in brick and concrete but not in drywall, and a 3-star review notes that the flat first layer changes the outer diameter, so test one before printing a batch. You need a free MakerWorld account to customize and download.
