About this generator

Photo Frame Generator by WardCons is a free browser customizer on MakerWorld that builds a complete picture frame around the photo size you choose. It runs an OpenSCAD script in MakerWorld's web customizer, so you only work with dropdowns and number fields, and it has been customized more than 5,000 times since April 2025.

Pick a standard photo size or type your own dimensions, set portrait or landscape, then choose a frame profile. The creator's chart shows 16 of them, from a plain box and wedge to stepped, ripple, fish and grapes. You also set the frame width, the width of the board around the photo and a scale for the profile height. The back can take a stand, a printed hanger or four 5 x 2 mm magnets, which turns it into a fridge frame. The 3MF puts the frame, board, back and stand or hanger on separate plates, the back snaps into the frame, and beveled edges let the parts print without supports.

It suits anyone framing kids' drawings, small prints or photos that shop frames don't fit. The frame prints as one piece, so your bed limits its size, and it is not made for glass. You need a free MakerWorld account, and the customizer does not run in the Bambu Handy app.

How to use Photo Frame Generator by WardCons

Open the model on the MakerWorld website (not the Handy app) and click Customize
Choose a photo size or enter custom dimensions, and set the orientation
Pick a frame profile, frame width, board width and a stand, hanger or magnets
Generate, download the 3MF and print each plate in the color you want
Fit the board and photo, then snap the back on
