About this generator

PrintPal's Bin, Tray & Baseplate Generator has three modes. Custom Bin makes a tray or drawer insert of any size in millimeters or inches. Grid Bin makes Gridfinity-compatible bins from 1 x 1 to 8 x 8 units and 1U to 14U tall, or any custom footprint. Baseplate makes the plate they sit on, and can size it to a drawer you measure.

You can split a bin into an even grid of columns and rows, or place walls anywhere, including partial ones, plus label ledges and finger scoops on any side. Other options are wall, floor and divider thickness, corner radius, a stacking lip, a label shelf or front tab, floor holes, and magnet and M3 screw holes on grid bins. Six presets (small tray, desk organizer, parts bin, drawer insert, tool holder, screw sorter) give a starting point, and a printer check compares the size with common build plates. The export is a watertight STL.

Designing and previewing are free in the browser without an account, but the Download button opens a paywall: downloads need PrintPal Pro ($10/month) or Studio ($25/month). Both plans include commercial rights. It suits people who already pay for PrintPal or want walls in irregular places, which most free Gridfinity generators do not offer.
