Terrain 6

What is Terrain 6?

Terrain 6 turns a real place into a 3D-printed topographic puzzle. You search for a trail, summit, lake or park, or drop a pin anywhere on Earth, and the generator builds the terrain from elevation data, carves your chosen trail into the surface and cuts the model into interlocking puzzle pieces.

The output is a 3MF built for Bambu Studio, with AMS support for multicolor prints, so the files go from map to build plate without any modeling. Paid plans add satellite colors for a true-to-life surface, an engraved base with a name, coordinates and contour lines, and multi-plate prints for larger areas. The project was funded through a MakerWorld crowdfunding campaign, and it also offers a few free puzzle files, such as Mount Everest.

It suits hikers and gift-makers who want a hands-on puzzle of a place that matters to them, and sellers who want to offer custom topo puzzles.
