What is 3D MakerBench?
3D MakerBench is a collection of small, single-purpose generators that run in the browser. The site lists 24 tools in six groups: cookie cutters, lithophanes, a photo moon lamp, flip text, vases, coasters and stamps for home and gifts; Gridfinity bins, phone stands, pegboard hooks, boxes and cable combs for organizing; name keychains, signs, QR codes, NFC tag holders, braille labels and stencils for personalizing; gears, bolts and nuts and hose adapters as workshop parts; a filament swatch generator and a print cost calculator; and learning tiles for kids.
Each tool is one page with sliders and a live 3D preview. The name keychain generator, for example, has four fonts, a shape that follows the letters or a plate, ring position, length, border, base and letter height. The Gridfinity bin generator sets the grid size, height in 7 mm units, compartments, the stacking lip, magnet and M3 screw holes and optional SD, microSD or USB slots. Every page adds print settings and a short FAQ.
Downloads are STL. Several tools (keychains, coasters, QR codes) also offer a two-color ZIP with one STL per color for AMS or MMU printers, or a layer height for a manual filament change. There is no account, the geometry is computed on your device, and photos are not uploaded. The site is new (Sept 2026) and one maker runs it, so the tools are simple rather than deep. The lithophane maker, Gridfinity bin generator, flip text generator and cookie cutter generator also have their own pages on SkipTheCAD.
