What is 3D.Spool?

3D.Spool is a mostly free Russian-language website that bundles about 15 form-based STL generators for 3D printer owners, each with a live 3D preview in the browser. You can make Gridfinity bins and plain rounded boxes with magnet or screw holes, drawer trays with uneven cells, keychains and pet tags, nameplates, QR plates that hold a link, Wi-Fi details or a contact card, lithophanes in a dozen shapes, cookie cutters from a picture or text, paint stencils, wall hooks, twisted vases, LEGO-compatible bricks and a two-word sculpture that reads differently from the front and the side.

There are also tools that work on an STL you already have, such as surface texturing, voxelizing and cutting large parts, plus a cost calculator and calibration towers. QR plates and keychains can download as a ZIP of separate STL parts per color for an AMS or a filament swap, and several tools also give an SVG outline for a laser cutter. The site says models are built on your device, so photos and files are not uploaded.

The catch for English speakers is that every label is in Russian, so browser translation helps. Some tools cap free use at a few new designs a day, and the LED letter and silicone mold generators need the paid PRO plan. It suits makers who want many quick generators in one place.

1. Open 3dspool.ru and pick a generator from the utilities list on the home page
2. Type your text or sizes, upload a photo if the tool needs one, and switch on extras like magnets or a key ring hole
3. Check the model in the 3D preview
4. Download the STL, per-color ZIP or SVG and slice it in Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer, PrusaSlicer or Cura
