What is 3DGEN?
3DGEN is a set of slider-based generators that run in the browser, with casting molds as the main theme. Five mold tools turn a model you upload (STL) or a built-in example into something you can cast in: a two-part box mold, a silicone mold box, a plaster casting mold, a vase and planter mold, and a casting tray. The two-part mold lets you set the split direction, the pour hole, the wall thickness and a seal of pins or tongue and groove, and it estimates how much wax, resin, plaster or concrete you need.
The other nine generators make a pet bowl, a bowl stand, a nameplate, a cookie and clay cutter, a keychain, a suncatcher, a lithophane, a stamp and a texture roller. The keychain generator, for example, has nine fonts, a plate (rectangle, oval or rhombus) or a shape that follows the letters, a border, a frame and its own color for each part. Every tool has printer bed presets for common Bambu, Prusa, Creality, Anycubic and Elegoo machines.
Downloads are STL, or 3MF with each part as a separate colored object for multi-color printers. You can download without an account (the counter started at three), a free passwordless account gives five downloads a week, and free files carry a small engraved 3DGEN mark. Pro costs $20 a month and the Founder plan $99 once; both give unlimited downloads, remove the mark or swap in your own logo, and add a commercial license.
The terms limit free models to personal, non-commercial use, and on every plan the generated STL and 3MF files may not be shared or resold. It suits makers who cast soap, resin, wax or concrete and want a mold without modeling one.
