What is 3dprint.name?

3dprint.name is a free browser tool that turns a typed name into a printable desk sign, wall sign, door plaque or keyring. It comes from 3D Print Land, a UK 3D print shop. A 3D preview updates as you change the font, size, colors and backing shape, and about 20 templates include a teacher's desk name, a Wi-Fi QR wall sign and novelty number plates.

It has more controls than most text-to-STL pages: you can bend text into an arch, add emoji and shapes, set a bevel, put a halo or rounded plaque behind the letters, add a QR code and give wall signs screw holes, keyhole slots or recesses for magnets or adhesive strips. A printability panel flags thin strokes, floating letters and signs too big for the printer bed you picked, and a Make it printable button fixes them.

Single-color STL export is free and unlimited, with no account. You can design in two colors on the free plan, but the free STL merges them into one mesh. Colored 3MF and a split STL per color need Pro, which also adds custom fonts and images, bulk generation, NFC pockets, and lightbox and desk organizer designers. It suits gift makers and small sellers. The site is new, and we found no community prints to learn from as of September 2026.
