About this generator

The alpaco.it Electronics Enclosure Generator is a free browser tool that builds a two-part project case, a base and a lid, around the board you want to house. Pick a preset such as a Raspberry Pi 5, 4 or Zero, an Arduino Uno or an ESP32 DevKitC, and the case comes with its port openings already placed and standoffs on the mounting holes where the board has them. For other boards you type the size and hole positions, or skip the board and enter box dimensions.

You then add openings to any wall from a list of 48 parts, from USB-C, HDMI and RJ45 to barrel jacks, buttons, cable glands and fans, or place a custom rectangle or round hole. The lid snaps on or screws down on four corner bosses; a snug Pi case needs the snap lid, since screw bosses would hit the board. Slot or hex vents, rubber-foot recesses and wall-mount tabs are optional, and the ZIP holds an STL per part plus a 3MF with base and lid on separate filament slots.

It is free, needs no account, and the files may be used commercially. Port positions come from vendor drawings, so measure your own board before the final print. It suits makers who want a fitted case for a Pi, Arduino or ESP32 project without drawing one.

What you can make

  • Raspberry Pi cases
  • Arduino enclosures
  • ESP32 and Wemos D1 mini project boxes
  • Custom-size electronics boxes
  • Vented cases with fan openings

How to use alpaco.it Electronics Enclosure Generator

  1. Open the generator and pick a board preset, or type in the box dimensions
  2. Choose a snap or screw lid and set the wall thickness
  3. Add port openings to the walls, then pick vents, rubber feet or mount tabs
  4. Check the preview, click Download files and save the ZIP with STL and 3MF files
  5. Print both parts as laid out, with no supports

alpaco.it Electronics Enclosure Generator pros

  • Board presets place the standoffs and port openings for you
  • 48 ready-made openings, from USB-C and RJ45 to fans, switches and cable glands
  • Free with no account, and the generated files may be used commercially

alpaco.it Electronics Enclosure Generator cons
