What is Custom Letter Bead Generator?
Custom Letter Bead Generator is a free MakerWorld customizer by Tinker Link that turns a name, word or set of initials into chunky bubble-letter beads. Each bead follows the outline of its own letter, with the letter face in one color on a thicker base in a second color and a hole through the body for a cord. You type the text, choose a font, set the bead size and hole diameter, and decide whether the hole runs across or up and down, so a name reads side to side or stacked.
The font list grew through a run of late April 2026 updates and now includes Noto Sans and Rubik, which the designer says cover most Russian letters. The print profiles on the page add a full A to Z set with every letter on its own plate (14 mm tall, 11 mm thick, 4.5 mm hole), three sample names and two bonus shapes, a rainbow and a daisy. Download the 3MF rather than the STL if you want to keep both colors. The letter only shows on one side, and makers who wear the beads as bracelets suggest scaling them down first.
It has been customized more than 16,000 times and is free for personal use with a MakerWorld login. It suits drawstring and shoelace name tags, kids' crafts, party favors and teacher gifts.

Custom Letter Bead Generator pros
- Each bead follows the shape of its letter, so a name reads like bubble lettering
- Hole size and direction can be set, so names run across the cord or stack along it
- A ready-made A to Z profile puts every letter on its own plate if you just want a bead set
Custom Letter Bead Generator cons
- The letter is only on the front, so a bead that turns on the cord shows a blank back
- At the default 14 mm height the beads are chunky, and makers suggest scaling down for a wearable bracelet
- An STL carries no color, so you need the 3MF to keep both colors, and all the ready-made profiles are set up for an AMS
