What is Customizable Guitar Pick?
Customizable Guitar Pick is a free MakerWorld customizer by mrazik that turns a word or name, plus an optional emoji, into a printable guitar pick. You choose one of four outlines: standard, pointy, shark fin or sharp tip. The text and emoji stand up from the face of the pick, and the designer notes that the raised shapes also give your fingers a bit more grip.
The designer's print profile uses 0.2 mm layers and two walls, and one pick takes about 13 minutes and around 4 g of PLA. It prints the lettering and emoji in white on a black pick, so a printer with an AMS gives the neatest result, but a single color print works too. If you change the pick's thickness, the designer advises choosing a layer height that divides evenly into it. Customizing happens on the MakerWorld website, not inside Bambu Studio, and you need to be signed in.
The model has been customized close to 5,700 times and printed over 860 times, and its tags also cover ukulele, mandolin and banjo players. It suits named picks for yourself, a bandmate or a music teacher. The CC BY-NC-ND license rules out selling the prints.
