What is Custom Minecraft Name Plate?
Custom Minecraft Name Plate is a free MakerWorld customizer by Capyvara that turns a name into a desk or shelf sign in the style of the Minecraft logo: cracked gray stone letters standing on a block with a green grass top and brown dirt sides. It is a fan-made design, not an official Minecraft product, and it has been customized more than 54,000 times since it was posted in November 2025.
After you log in, the Customize button opens the model in MakerWorld's Parametric Model Maker, where you type your text and set the dimensions. The letter set covers uppercase A to Z, the digits 0 to 9 and spaces, plus three lowercase extras: a gives a Creeper face, while r and b swap in rounder shapes. Each letter is a cracked front piece on a plain back piece whose pins go into slots in the base, either plain pins you glue or experimental snap pins that hold without glue. Hole tolerances can be adjusted if the fit is off.
The designer's four print profiles use three PLA colors and about 74 to 83 g of filament. An AMS is optional, because a split base setting puts one color on each plate. It suits Minecraft fans and makes a good gift for kids.

- Type your name and set the sizes
- Pick plain or snap pins and, without an AMS, turn on the split base
- Generate, then download the 3MF
- Print the base and letters in gray, green and brown, then glue or snap the letters into the base
