About this generator

EU License Plate Generator is a free MakerWorld customizer by John_M that turns your own text into a European-style number plate. It runs in MakerWorld's Parametric Model Maker, so you fill in a web form instead of editing the OpenSCAD file. Since its release in January 2026 it has been customized more than 9,200 times.

The plate keeps the 520 x 110 mm proportions of a real EU plate and scales them from one value, the width. You type the registration, adjust its size, spacing and position, set the country code and its size, and pick a color for each part. Border, background, blue band, stars, country code and main text come out as separate bodies with raised text and stars, ready for an AMS or manual filament swaps. The ready-made print profiles cover Dutch, Luxembourg, Polish and Danish plates in four PLA colors, about 35 g each.

It is meant for decoration rather than the road: a gift for a car fan, a garage or workshop sign, or a travel souvenir. The creator advises a width of at least 200 mm, since smaller plates make the stars and letters too fine to print well. The layout only has the blue EU band on the left, so extras such as a regional band on the right are not part of it. If you want a key ring instead, John_M has a separate keychain model. A MakerWorld account is needed to customize and download.
