What is 3D Text (ilove3d)?

ilove3d's 3D text tool extrudes a word or name into a printable model for signs, names and cake toppers. You type the text and the model updates live; you pick one of nine typefaces (sans, rounded, serif, display, condensed, monospace and a handwritten script), set the letter height and extrusion depth in millimeters, and add a soft bevel if you like.

An optional base plate turns loose letters into a sign or cake topper, and a keyring loop on the plate makes a keychain. The pieces overlap and your slicer merges them into one solid. The page gives practical advice, such as keeping letters at least about 8 mm tall on a 0.4 mm nozzle, and the preview shows the stroke width at real scale.

It downloads as an STL or a GLB, with no account. Only Latin characters are supported. The maker says the fonts are open-licensed for products made with them, and selling prints is fine. For name keychains with the ring built into the plate, ilove3d also has a separate keychain tool.
