What is Skrädda Pegboard Generator?

Skrädda Pegboard Generator is a free browser tool that builds a pegboard in the IKEA SKÅDIS slot pattern and hands it to you as an STL. It is a hobby project by the maker torminal, runs without an account and draws the board in a live 3D preview. The page header calls it Skräddar, and the source code is public on GitHub with instructions for running your own copy.

Two sliders set the width and height, each from 80 to 800 mm in 40 mm steps, and a third sets the thickness from 2 to 8 mm. The app suggests keeping 5 mm so standard hooks still fit. The board gets rounded corners and staggered rows of 5 x 15 mm slots on the SKÅDIS spacing. A tick box, on by default, adds four 5 mm screw holes near the corners, and a separate button gives you a 10 mm spacer to print four times so the board stands off the wall. OpenSCAD versions of both parts are offered as well.

It suits anyone who wants a SKÅDIS panel in a size IKEA does not sell, such as a narrow strip beside a desk. There is nothing else to tune, so it takes a minute, but boards larger than your bed are not split into tiles.

How to use Skrädda Pegboard Generator

1. Open skraedda.torminal.com
2. Set the width and height (80 to 800 mm) and keep the thickness at 5 mm for standard hooks
3. Leave the corner holes ticked to screw it to a wall, or untick them
4. Download the pegboard STL, plus the 10 mm spacer STL if you kept the holes
5. Print four spacers and mount the board
