About this generator

GRIPS is a free MakerWorld customizer by TooManyThings that turns a drawer measurement into a full Gridfinity baseplate. You enter the width and depth of the space, it fits whole grid cells and pads the leftover space with an edge margin, then cuts the plate into sections that fit your printer's bed. Each section gets jigsaw-style tabs, so the printed pieces join into one grid.

Beyond size, you can add magnet holes, give the tabs a looser fit, join the pieces with M3 screws and nuts instead, or switch the tabs off. Advanced settings shift the grid toward the front or a side, round the outer corners and add a bottom chamfer. There are two versions: a 3MF for Bambu Studio that places the pieces on separate plates (up to 20), and an STL for other slicers, where you split and arrange the parts yourself. The author suggests printing the small test pieces first, because tab fit can vary between printers and filaments.

It is free with a MakerWorld login and has been customized close to 134,000 times. It suits anyone fitting out large drawers, toolboxes or cabinets who wants a grid that reaches wall to wall without gluing tiles together.
