What is 10 Inch Mini Rack Generator?

10 Inch Mini Rack Generator is a free MakerWorld customizer, made by spuder, that builds shelves for 10 inch and 6 inch mini racks, the small server racks many people use for a homelab. You type in the width, depth and height of your device, such as a network switch, mini PC or small NAS, and it makes a rack-width front panel with a snug holder behind it that wraps around the device.

You set the height in rack units, from half a unit up to five, and can add a keystone jack mount at each edge, holes for power or USB cables and hexagon air holes for cooling. An optional lip keeps the device from sliding out the front, a 0.42 mm clearance is built in, and slots at the back take a zip tie. The model page lists measurements for UniFi and Firewalla network gear, small office PCs, a Mac mini and Synology NAS boxes, though most are marked as untested. A second generator on the same page makes blank filler plates with optional ribs and up to ten keystone jacks.
