FrameGen 3D (HueForge Frame Generator)

About this generator

FrameGen 3D makes a picture frame to fit a HueForge print, a filament painting or a photo. You choose a rectangle or a hexagon (hexagons tile into a honeycomb wall) and enter the picture's width and length, or start from a template: 100 and 200 mm squares and hexagons, a 150x200 photo, or posters up to 90x64 cm.

You then set the clearance around the picture, border thickness, corner rounding, total height, the depth of the pocket the print sits in and the width of the shelf that holds it. Nail or hook keyholes can be cut into the back, and they shrink when the border is narrow. Large frames can be split into parts that fit a smaller bed. A mounting planner lets you lay out Command strips on the back, and the panel shows the outer size, volume and estimated PLA weight.

The download is one STL, meant to be printed face down. It is free with no account, runs in the browser, and has an English and a Polish interface. The README states an MIT license for the code. It is a different tool from the MakerWorld HueForge and Chroma Canvas frame generator already listed, and it suits anyone finishing a HueForge print or framing a lithophane or photo for the wall.
