About this generator

GridfinityStudio plans a complete Gridfinity drawer instead of one bin at a time. You enter the drawer's width, depth and height in millimeters or inches, see how many Gridfinity cells fit, and then add, arrange and stack bins in a 3D view. Bins can have dividers, labels, scoops, stacking lips and cutouts, half-grid spacing gives finer control, and you can import existing Gridfinity STL models into the layout. Baseplates are generated to fit the drawer, including the leftover space, using the open-source GridFlock generator.

For tools, a photo trace turns a picture of the tool into a fitted holder, and you can edit the traced outline. Before printing, a print queue shows estimated filament, cost and print time, groups the parts per printer and lets you tick off what is printed and installed. Saved projects can be changed and exported again when your collection grows.

Designing needs no account. A free account exports individual STL files and keeps one saved project. The Maker License ($89 one-time) adds full drawer ZIP exports, unlimited projects and 25 photo traces; the Workshop License ($229 one-time) adds commercial use and 100 traces. There is no subscription, and extra trace credits will be sold separately.
