What is Gridfinity Bins (ilove3d)?

ilove3d's Gridfinity generator makes bins to the exact dimensions of the Gridfinity standard (42 by 42 mm cells, 7 mm height units) and downloads them as an STL, built in your browser without an account. You set the footprint in grid units, the height in U, the number of compartments across and deep, the wall and divider thickness and the corner radius.

Options include the stacking lip, a label tab (from 3U up), a finger scoop against the front wall and holes in the feet for 6 by 2 mm magnets or M3 screws. The page explains its choices in plain numbers, such as why 0.2 mm layers divide the 7 mm unit exactly, why the lip is trimmed by 0.6 mm and why you should print without a brim. No supports are needed.

The tool makes bins only: the matching baseplate is announced as a separate tool, and meanwhile the bins stack on each other or fit any standard baseplate you already have. It is free, and the maker says selling prints is fine.
