What is Jar Generator (Fletch)?

Jar Generator is a free MakerWorld customizer by Fletch that builds a round jar with a threaded, screw-on lid in the size and pattern you pick. It is a staff pick with more than 5,000 likes and over 24,000 customizations. It opens in MakerWorld's Parametric Model Maker, where you change settings in a form, so there is no CAD work or code to edit.

You pick one of 27 wall patterns for the jar and one of 13 patterns for the lid, then set the height and diameter anywhere from 25 to 160 mm. Other settings cover wall thickness, thread pitch, lid height and lid tolerance, plus whether the pattern is cut into the wall or raised from it, how deep it goes and how much it tapers at the top and bottom. You can generate the jar and lid together or one at a time. The 3MF version can put the jar and lid on two plates, so a two-color jar prints without filament swaps.
