What is Lunar Prototypes?

Lunar Prototypes is a free website where you resize about 140 practical 3D print designs to your own measurements and download the result. It is a solo project, with a catalog split into adapters and brackets, home goods, organization and storage, tools and repair, and toys. Each design page has a Customize tab with a few number fields that show their limits, and label designs add a text box. You press Submit, the site's server rebuilds the parametric model with your values, and you get a 3D preview and download links.

The focus is on fit rather than decoration: duct reducers, pole and post brackets, cable clips, replacement knobs and caster wheels, TPU gaskets and furniture feet, magnetic hooks and bins, and a print-in-place ring fidget toy. Files come as 3MF, which the site recommends, and STL, and a few label and nameplate designs have MMU versions for multicolor prints. About eight designs, mostly labels and tags, can batch up to 200 variants from a CSV file.

Guests can generate files within a daily job limit, and logging in saves your jobs and unlocks batch runs. The whole catalog is open to everyone, since the earlier supporter-only designs were opened up. The maker has announced a simple usage model: the first 3 customizations free, then packs of 5 customizations for $5, with no subscription. It suits anyone who has measured a broken or awkward part and wants a replacement that actually fits.

4. Check the 3D preview, then download the 3MF or STL and slice it
