About this generator

Ostat Hose & Pipe Adapter Generators is a free browser tool that designs adapters for vacuum hoses, dust collection pipes and power tool ports that do not quite match. It comes from ostat, the maker behind Gridfinity Extended, and runs the open source OpenSCAD script in the page, so there is nothing to install and no account to make. The site has three generators: a basic hose adapter, a full hose adapter and a funnel maker.

On the basic page you set the diameter, length and taper of each end, say whether you measured inside or outside, and add a hose stop or barbs. The middle section can taper for joining hoses, lie flat for fixing to a tool or machine, or bend at an angle you choose. The full page adds magnetic and screw flanges, square or round nozzles, threads (a beta option as of September 2026), up to six copies of the second end for splitters, a flat base to help print bends, and ready shapes for ports such as Dyson, Festool Cleantec, Makita, Bosch and DeWalt DW735x. The funnel page covers opening size, spout angle and tip diameter.

The preview redraws after each change, settings live in the URL for bookmarking or sharing, and Save STL downloads the file. It suits woodworkers and shop-vac owners with calipers and a hose that will not fit.

What you can make

  • Hose-to-hose reducers and step adapters
  • Flat flanges to fit a hose to a machine
  • Magnetic quick-release hose couplings
  • Adapters for named tool dust ports
  • Y and multi-way hose splitters
  • Funnels with angled spouts

How to use Ostat Hose & Pipe Adapter Generators

  1. Measure both hoses or ports with calipers
  2. Open the basic generator and enter each end's diameter, inner or outer, length and taper
  3. Pick a transition style and add a stop or barbs if the hose needs them
  4. Check the preview, click Save STL, then slice and print

Ostat Hose & Pipe Adapter Generators pros

  • Ready shapes for named tool ports such as Dyson, Festool, Makita, Bosch and DeWalt
  • No install or account, and settings live in the URL so you can bookmark or share an adapter
  • Open source, with the GitHub repo last updated in August 2026

Ostat Hose & Pipe Adapter Generators cons

  • Settings keep the script's variable names, such as End1 Extension SlipRing, which takes some getting used to
  • The full generator has nearly 190 settings, so beginners should stay on the basic page
  • STL download only, and the thread option (marked beta as of September 2026) does not work with a taper
