What is PROLED3D?
PROLED3D is a freemium browser app that turns typed text or an SVG logo into 3D-printable channel letters, the lit or solid sign letters you see on shop fronts. You type in one of 14 bold fonts or upload a clean SVG, pick one of 27 letter structures, and it builds the whole housing: a printed base, a lid or face, and matching outlines for the acrylic or PVC panels.
The settings go much deeper than a text extruder. You set wall thickness and height for the lid and base, lip depth, acrylic thickness and tolerance, and overall clearance, and you can add holes, cable tunnels or a perforated front pattern. A 2D view and an exploded 3D preview show how the parts fit together, and the export is a ZIP with STL files for printing and DXF files for a laser or CNC cutter. A separate Neon Flex mode turns DXF centerlines into channels for LED neon strip. It is made by Factor Gráfico in Argentina, runs in eight languages and has plugins for CorelDRAW and Illustrator.
It suits sign makers, and hobbyists who want real backlit letters for a shop or workshop wall. You need a Google sign-in before you can type text or load a file, and only 4 of the 27 structures export on the free plan. The rest, plus tools like the bed-splitting Guillotine and sheet nesting, need Premium.

PROLED3D pros
- Builds the full letter housing (base, lid, acrylic and PVC outlines) from text or an SVG, not just an extruded shape
- Fine control over walls, lips, acrylic thickness and clearances, with 2D and exploded 3D previews
- One ZIP export holds the STL parts for printing and DXF files for laser or CNC cutting
PROLED3D cons
- Made for sign shops, so the long list of settings takes a while to learn
- Google sign-in is needed before you can type text or load an SVG, and only 4 of 27 structures export for free
- Text is limited to 14 bold fonts unless you bring your own SVG, and LEDs and acrylic are sourced separately
