Christmas ornament and gift generators

Most personalized Christmas prints can be made in a browser without CAD. You type the names, pick a random seed or upload a photo, and download a file for your slicer. The generators below cover tree ornaments, photo gifts, star maps, cookie cutters, gift boxes, cards and stocking stuffers.

For the tree, Bambu Lab's Christmas Ornament Maker builds flat ornaments that spin as they hang, with names added to Christmas templates. The Christmas Tree Family Names customizer stacks everyone's names into a tree shape with an optional year, and the Infinite Unique Snowflake Generator gives you a new snowflake for every seed you type. For a photo ornament, the Vextrude Lithophane Maker makes star and heart shapes with a hanging hole, and the Lithophane Maker site has a tool just for Christmas tree lithophanes. A lithophane only shows its picture with light behind it, so hang it near a window or the tree lights.

For gifts, the MakerLab Star Map Generator and OrbitStudio Sky, which we make, print the real night sky over a place on a date that matters. The Designer Bee Box Generator makes gift boxes with ribbons and a bow, and ImageToStl turns a clean outline of a tree or a star into a cookie cutter. Do I need a multicolor printer to make Christmas ornaments?

Not for every ornament. The Infinite Unique Snowflake Generator prints in one color, so silk, glitter or glow filament does a lot of the visual work, and the Vextrude Lithophane Maker exports a single-color STL meant for white PLA. The Christmas Ornament Maker exports a 3MF set up for multicolor printing, and the Christmas Tree Family Names ornament looks best in several colors.

Which Christmas generators work without an account?

The Vextrude Lithophane Maker, ImageToStl's cookie cutter tool, the Designer Bee Box Generator and the MyLaserTools keychain generator download for free without an account, and Lithophane Maker asks for one only to save settings. OrbitStudio Sky (made by us) also gives a free STL without one. The Christmas Ornament Maker, the snowflake and family names customizers, the Star Map Generator, the Infinity Card and Top Secret run on MakerWorld and need a free MakerWorld account.

Can I sell Christmas ornaments I print with these generators?

Some of them. Vextrude, Lithophane Maker, Designer Bee and MyLaserTools allow selling what you print, but for a photo lithophane you also need the rights to the photo. The snowflake generator, the family names tree and the Infinity Card use the Standard Digital File License, so selling prints needs the designer's permission. Top Secret's designer offers selling rights through a paid MakerWorld membership, and selling prints from OrbitStudio Sky (made by us) needs the commercial Merchant tier.
