What is ESP32 Box Builder?
ESP32 Box Builder designs a rounded box with a flush snap-fit lid for small electronics projects. You start from an S, M, L, XL or power bank size, then drag cutouts onto a 2D view of each face (front, back, sides, lid and floor) with snapping and a 0.5 mm grid. The library has USB-C, USB-A and micro-USB ports, a microSD slot, a camera hole, slide and rocker switches, push buttons, a 3.5 mm jack, PG7 cable glands, light posts and a 7 inch display opening.
It also has vents (slots, round grid or honeycomb), snap-in windows to print in clear filament for LEDs or radar sensors, two styles of 6 x 6 tact switch buttons with a built-in cradle, PCB standoffs for common dev boards and sensor modules, internal walls, vented compartments to keep a sensor away from heat, battery holders and wall-mounting tabs. A 3D preview shows the closed box.
The base and the lid are generated separately in the browser with OpenSCAD; the site says this takes 1 to 3 minutes per part, and the base took about 20 seconds in our check. Each part downloads as STL and prints without supports. The interface is in English and French, the project is saved in your browser, and there is no account. The code is MIT licensed, which covers the software, not the prints. It suits ESP32 and home sensor builders.
