What is Gridfinity Center?

Gridfinity Center is a free browser tool that puts the open-source Gridfinity Extended OpenSCAD models behind a form with plain, readable field names. It has two 3D tools, a Bin Generator and a Grid Generator, plus a Label Generator for tape label printers that was in beta as of September 2026. You set options in a parameter panel, press Generate, check the 3D preview and its measured size, then download an STL.

Bins can be sized in grid units, millimeters or inches. You place dividers by clicking in a compartment editor, and there are option groups for label shelves (including Cullenect and Pred styles), finger slides, stacking lips, magnet and screw holes, half, third or quarter pitch bases, a sliding lid, wall cut-outs and patterned walls or floors. The Grid Generator makes standard or laser-cut baseplates, can fill leftover drawer space, and splits a large grid into pieces that fit your print bed, joined with clip or snap connectors.

The download menu can also open the model in PrusaSlicer, OrcaSlicer or Bambu Studio, or hand you the OpenSCAD file. The project started in May 2026 and had a small user base as of September 2026. It suits Gridfinity users who want the Gridfinity Extended options without reading its raw variable names.

What you can make

  3. Add dividers, a label shelf, magnet holes or a lip in the option groups
  4. Press Generate and check the preview and dimensions
  5. Download the STL or open it in your slicer

Gridfinity Center pros

  • Readable setting names and a click-to-place compartment editor
  • Splits big baseplates to fit presets for Bambu, Prusa and Voron beds or a custom size
  • Can send the model straight to PrusaSlicer, OrcaSlicer or Bambu Studio, or export the .scad file

Gridfinity Center cons

  • Exports STL only (plus the .scad file), no 3MF
  • Young one-person project with few users or outside reviews
  • The Label Generator makes PNG images for label printers, not printable 3D labels
