About MakerWorld Parametric Model Maker
Parametric Model Maker is the engine behind the green Customize button on MakerWorld. Designers upload a parametric model written in OpenSCAD, or since mid 2025 a Fusion file with selected parameters, and MakerWorld turns its variables into a simple form of sliders, dropdowns and text fields.
As a user you open a customizable model, such as a name pen holder, a remote control holder, a spacer or a business card, change the values, watch the preview update and download a ready to print 3MF. There is no software to install and no code to read. Creators can also set up multicolour parts, so text and bases can land on different filaments.
You need a free MakerWorld account to use it, and the quality of each model depends on its designer. Because MakerWorld is the busiest model site for Bambu Lab users, this is now the largest pool of customizable models for most makers.
