About Microsoft TRELLIS.2
TRELLIS.2 is Microsoft's open-source image-to-3D model, and its free Hugging Face demo lets anyone try it in a browser. You upload a picture, ideally with a clean or transparent background, adjust a few optional settings, preview the result from different angles, and download the model as a textured GLB file.
Because the code is released under the MIT license, TRELLIS shows up inside many other services, and technically minded users can run it on their own GPU with no usage caps. For casual users the web demo is the easiest way in, but it runs on shared ZeroGPU hardware, so you may wait in a queue or run into a usage quota.
The output is aimed at general 3D use rather than printing, so plan to convert the GLB to STL, scale it and check for thin parts before slicing. It is best for curious makers who want a free, no-subscription way to turn an image into a printable figure.
